[It felt like it would take forever to get all of her pokémon back. Between the attack and the breeder's convention, and the general bustle of Goldenrod City, naturally things were hectic and busy.

Today, finally, she has them all (and a new egg or two), and feeling at a loss, Raven decides to take them to the park to enjoy the fresh air. One too-inquisitive Charmander later, and the gear feed shows a quiet redhead and her team spread across some benches, having lunch. She and a Swablu appear to be having a serious conversation. Of sorts.]

Are you sure this is what you want to do? I won't make you. [The cotton bird nods once, determined. Raven sighs.] Then I guess that's what we'll do.

[The Charmander starts to wander off then, but not before Raven gets her gear back from him. Her only admonishment is a gentle pat on the head. Well. Someone probably overheard. Maybe she should explain...?]

If we want to become...better, we have to do all this traveling, don't we?

I don't think traveling would be absolutely necessary, but the stronger Pokémon and the attacks won fro Gym leaders would definitely make it easier and faster.

[Oh hey. She remembers him. They haven't talked in a while, but he did her a huge favor.]

We want to be strong enough to stop them from hurting any other monsters. [At her shoulder, Melody chirps.] Or people.

In that case, the first step would be to know just how strong they are in the first place, so you can have a more precise goal to aim for.

Team Rocket? ...Really strong.

[Has he heard what they did to Goldenrod?]

That they are.

But how many are they? What are their Pokémon's levels? What types do they favor? What are their weaknesses?

I don't know that!

Find out, then. Speak with people who fought them. If you find any members, observe them for a few days before attacking. Have your Pokémon train against the species they use, if you can find them in the wild. Just training until your levels are higher would work, but it'd take much longer.

This is a lot of good advice. Raven stops her automatic response to listen to him and it makes so much logical sense.]

I don't.

[He sounds rather disappointed by that.]

Without my usual network and with such a young team, it's harder for me to get info.

Then I won't even know if I find someone who is one of them.

[Her sigh is so very, very frustrated.]

They can't keep doing this.

That they can't. I can't believe the local police aren't doing more to catch them.

I don't know if they're strong enough.

They have Kangaskhans and Growlithes, right? Those should be strong if they're well-trained.

[Granted, she hasn't done a lot to make herself understood.]

There was something wrong with those monsters.

...What exactly was wrong with them? Did they look sick, mistreated?

[None of that is exactly it. Raven shakes her head.]

They looked...empty. [No, that's wrong too.] Or...they didn't care.

Didn't care? They were attacking people in the middle of the city, and they didn't even look like they were enjoying it?

[That doesn't sound good at all.]

Maybe. ...I don't know, maybe. But it wasn't like a hunt. [Not the kind of hunt she knows. All Raven can do is keep shaking her head.] There was just something wrong.

Maybe they were threatened and forced to attack, somehow. Or maybe they were controlled by something more powerful.

They didn't want to listen.

Didn't want to, or just couldn't? Did their ears appear to be damaged?

[Her voice takes a harsher turn.] I didn't have time to look.

...Guess it'd be hard to tell in the middle of a fight, uh.

[She had other things on her mind!]
