Five | video; action for Goldenrod

[It felt like it would take forever to get all of her pokémon back. Between the attack and the breeder's convention, and the general bustle of Goldenrod City, naturally things were hectic and busy.

Today, finally, she has them all (and a new egg or two), and feeling at a loss, Raven decides to take them to the park to enjoy the fresh air. One too-inquisitive Charmander later, and the gear feed shows a quiet redhead and her team spread across some benches, having lunch. She and a Swablu appear to be having a serious conversation. Of sorts.]

Are you sure this is what you want to do? I won't make you. [The cotton bird nods once, determined. Raven sighs.] Then I guess that's what we'll do.

[The Charmander starts to wander off then, but not before Raven gets her gear back from him. Her only admonishment is a gentle pat on the head. Well. Someone probably overheard. Maybe she should explain...?]

If we want to become...better, we have to do all this traveling, don't we?

[[ooc: Action responders may also have overheard her discussion with Melody about how they mutually want to be able to put a stop to Team Rocket.]]

I don't think traveling would be absolutely necessary, but the stronger Pokémon and the attacks won fro Gym leaders would definitely make it easier and faster.

[Oh hey. She remembers him. They haven't talked in a while, but he did her a huge favor.]

We want to be strong enough to stop them from hurting any other monsters. [At her shoulder, Melody chirps.] Or people.

In that case, the first step would be to know just how strong they are in the first place, so you can have a more precise goal to aim for.

Team Rocket? ...Really strong.

[Has he heard what they did to Goldenrod?]

But how many are they? What are their Pokémon's levels? What types do they favor? What are their weaknesses?

[But they can't do any better this way. They can't stop Team Rocket this way.]

[ Sorry Raven, there's a hoppip flying your way and it might just smack into your face...! ]

[At least having a Hoppip-faceplant isn't very painful. Raven makes a disgruntled sound as she reaches for whatever just filled her vision with pink, conveniently making sure it isn't going anywhere either.]

...A monster? [There's a chirp from Raven's shoulder.]

[ And that's when Christia catches up, finally. She's panting from having chased her hoppip for quite the distance. ]

A-Ah, you've caught Sou, th-thank you very much...! [ And she sinks a bit onto the ground out of relief. ]

[No need to fall at her feet. Melody flits from Raven's shoulder, landing on the new girl's instead and gently wiping her face with cotton-soft wings.]

Traveling does not make a trainer entirely.

[ She doesn't mean to interrupt her privacy, so she'll give a sympathetic nod as though silently asking for forgiveness. ]

Most of my Pokemon have become adept fighters while I have remained in the area.

[Yeah, she jumped. Surprise conversations. It's Saber though, they've talked before.]

I haven't wanted to make them fight. [Despite the rowdiest of the bunch being quite suited for it.]

Oh, then how else will they gain strength if not by fighting?

[ Admittedly she hasn't done much exploration so that part of the world remains unknown to her. ]

I don't know. But making them fight each other felt wrong. [Especially in the days after the attack.]

You don't have to travel to become stronger.

You can just have them train against each other. You don't actually have to have them fight, but they can always spar or something.

I train mine against Laguna and Clementine's pokémon.

If they only train with each other, they won't learn about everything there is in this world.
