Four | Video/Action for Goldenrod

[Originally, Raven planned her trip to Goldenrod to take longer. It started out that way. She wanted to take in the sights, so to speak, now that winter wasn’t trying to kill her and there might be more monsters about. Then that announcement came over the gear and things changed. Anyone along the Sudowoodo Area would have seen her storming toward Goldenrod at a pace that took effort to maintain, feeling under the weather as she is. A worried Swablu chirps atop her head for most of the way.

And now she’s here. The big city. She was supposed to tell Ondorus when she was coming, but she’s too wrapped up in finding…something. Information? The person who would do terrible things like that? Oh, she’d love the second one.

She succeeds in neither, managing only to wind up hopelessly lost on the streets that circle the department store. It’s a tall building and a nice landmark…unless you have no idea where to go from there. He wasn’t kidding when he said it was like nothing he’d ever seen before, was he?]

How do I get to the “breeding center” from here? [Raven’s face and the top of the tower are in camera view. She looks irritated and pale and tired.]

Hmmm... Be honest with me, Raven-san. How is your sense of direction? It can be a rather large challenge navigating a big city for the first time.

*He is already moving to swoop in since he's just about five minutes away...*

Besides, as the butler in charge of the house there, it's part of my duty to escort guests.

Because it's a very large house! ... I won't deny I'm not a necessity, though. More of a perk.

*Noooo Raven stooooop... At least Hayate is speedy enough to get there before she's wandered off too far...*

Erm... Well, I can't deny it helped warm me up to it at first... Though my first time being a butler was years and years ago, so I suppose it was only natural to start enjoying it.

You're young. [Do other countries employ child butlers or what?

She may not be all that clear on what a butler actually does, by the by.]

--eh?! I-I'm not that young... Sure I first did it when I was far too young to be, yet I was really good at it! And I'm still really good at it. I know the image of butlers is usually painted as charming older gentlemen, but I think I'm a really good one!

... I'm actually really confident in saying that my world is extremely normal by comparison to others.

[She doesn't have much to say to that. Hayate is in luck though, because she's quite tired and instead of continuing to meander, she's taking a break on a nearby bench.]

*Oh god, awkward silence. His worst possible enemy!!!

Time to subtly speed walk the rest of the way and immediately scan the area for her.*

[Silence is just silence. It's people that make it awkward.

She'll still be on that bench. There's a little city fountain nearby but it isn't running, due to the season.]

*It's awkward for him when people go silent since he likes to talk okay!!!

And sure enough using his keen observation skills, coupled with his near photographic memory of Goldenrod by this point...

He'll be trotting up to the bench Raven is at after another minute or so.*

[Two things happen.

First, Raven jumps enough that she moves a few inches across the bench. At almost the same time, a little blue fluffy bird emerges from her hair and starts shouting at Hayate, Swablu-style.]

*Naturally, Hayate himself startles a bit at seeing that reaction from her... And he has to fight off a brief fluster at seeing a bird come from her hair because oh that was cute.*

--ah?! W-Whoa... Um... S-Sorry... I didn't think I would actually surprise you...

[It's not cute when the bird is being all protective and who-the-chirp-are-you!]

Are you...Hayate? [You are shorter than she expected.]

Erm... Y-Yes? *Oh god, don't bite me little cloud bird.*

Is... Is something wrong? You sound like you're almost disappointed or... confused.

You look different in person.

[Melody backs off then, settling atop Raven's head instead, almost hatlike.]

... eh?

*Looking himself over. Dressed the same... he hasn't had anything awful happen to him yet, so he's not in disarray...*

You... You're not going to say I look "girly" now that you've seen me face to face, right...?
